Am I Insured?
Yes, Oldham Credit Union offers life savings and loan protection insurance, at no extra cost to their members, payable to a nominated beneficiary.

Is My Money Safe?
Yes, Oldham Credit Union is regulated by the Financial Services Authority, which also regulates all the banks, and must operate within the law and cover their members against any dishonest acts. Every month the Credit Union’s financial report must be displayed at the registered office where members may inspect it. Oldham Credit Union has a Complaints Officer. If you have any complaint about any aspect of the Credit Union’s business or how you have been treated you should get in touch with them. The Financial Ombudsman Service also covers Oldham Credit Union.

Are My Dealings With The Credit Union Confidential?
Absolutely. Oldham Credit Union must follow the rules as stated under the Data protection Act 1998. Only you can be given any information regarding your financial dealings with Oldham Credit Union. Your husband, wife or partner cannot be told that you even belong to the Credit Union.
